A small firm for a particular kind of house.
We lease and manage single family homes in the Pioneer Valley and nothing else. Founded in Northampton in 2015 by two people who had rented, owned and repaired them.
It started with a leaking Northampton roof and a manager who would not return calls.
In 2014 Anders Lindqvist owned an 1898 Victorian on Elm Street that he rented out while teaching at UMass. The management company took ten percent, marked up every repair and let a roof leak run for a winter. The next spring he and Priya Raman, then a leasing agent at a Northampton brokerage, started managing his house and three neighbors' houses themselves.
Ten years later the firm manages 140 homes across the Valley, still with a flat fee, still with no markup, and still small enough that the person who answers the phone has been inside your house.
We do not manage apartment buildings, short term rentals or homes outside the Valley. Saying no to those is what lets us say yes to a walkthrough within three days.
Three rules we have never broken.
No markup on repairs
You pay what the tradesperson charged, and you see the invoice. Our fee is our only income from your home.
Forty eight hours, in writing
Every lease promises a maintenance response within 48 hours. Emergencies get a person on the phone the same hour.
We have been inside
Nobody manages a house they have not walked. Every home gets an annual visit, a photographed report and a plan for the year.
